Young Driver 2009
The Maruti Suzuki – Autocar Young Driver programme was launched as a nation-wide search for India best young driving talent. Season One of the Young Driver contest saw a total of 3,07,665 online visitors who had checked out the contest and over 4,000 drivers were competing for entry into the second round. Eventually 35 contestants made it to the Grand Finale held at the Institute of Driving and Traffic Research (IDTR), New Delhi.Zubin Antalia from Mumbai was crowned Maruti Suzuki – Autocar Young Driver 2009 becoming the ambassador for safe driving and taking home a brand new Maruti Suzuki A-Star.

Young Driver 2010
Season Two of the Young Driver contest saw an overwhelming response with a staggering 20,400 tests taken online and 1,050 contestants getting shortlisted for the second round to compete at 31 Maruti Driving Schools from 22 cities across India. The simulator round was enthralling for all the contestants while they also learned essential road safety procedures. 30 finalists battled for the coveted title of Young Driver 2010 at the IDTR, New Delhi. Sumit Kukreja from Faridabad (Haryana) was crowned Maruti Suzuki – Autocar Young Driver 2010 becoming the reigning ambassador for safe driving and taking home a brand new Maruti Suzuki A-Star.
